Applications are being accepted for the position of Receptionist at the East Valley Institute of Technology's Power Campus - 6625 S Power Rd in Mesa. The hours are M-F 6:50 - 3:50 ( 1 Hour Lunch ). This is a 10 month position, following our High School Calendar.
Job Summary:
The receptionist is often the first point of contact for people who call or visit EVIT. As such, they should be prepared to handle a wide range of inquiries and requests. The receptionist greets the public, answers phone calls, and provides general office and clerical support to school administrators. The receptionist job requires a blend of excellent customer service, administrative and clerical skills. It is essential that the person for this role is organized, able to multi-task, be flexible and have a "can do" approach to work, as no two days are the same and good attendance is a must. The receptionist will coordinate front-desk activities, such as distributing correspondence and answering and redirecting incoming phone calls, maintaining and ordering general office supplies and equipment, and provide other clerical support as needed.
Job Type: Full Time, 10 Month Calendar
Salary: $21.00 - 26.00 per hour. Placement in the range will be based on a combination of education, industry related experience, and certification.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Any combination equivalent to graduation from high school or equivalent, and
  • One or more years of customer service experience,
  • One or more years of increasingly responsible clerical experience, or
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience

LICENSING /CERTIFICATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Proof of immunization against or immunity to measles and rubella if born after January 1, 1957.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience as a receptionist or office support in a school district.
  • Knowledge and experience using Google school-related software.
