Job Title: Senior Full Stack Computer Scientist / Database Administrator

Location: Sierra Vista, AZ

Reports to: Program Manager

Role Summary

The Senior Full Stack Computer Scientist / Database Administrator provides senior-level technical leadership and hands-on execution across software development and database administration in support of Government information systems. The role requires expert knowledge of interoperable information systems, modern and developing technologies, and compliance with the DoD 8140 Cyber Workforce Qualification Program (CWQP) baseline qualification requirements for the applicable work role(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert technical support for the interoperability of information systems, information technologies, software development, database development and maintenance, protocols, networking, information processing methods, information/computer security, and the use of simulation and modeling tools.
  • Support server deployment and lifecycle management across Windows Server and LINUX/UNIX/Solaris environments, ensuring acceptable downtime schedules as approved by the Government Task Lead.
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using .NET Framework and .NET Core MVC applications written in C#.
  • Administer, develop, tune, and troubleshoot SQL Server and Oracle databases, including creation and maintenance of scripts in their respective scripting languages.
  • Manage and support Microsoft Azure PaaS cloud systems as the environment transitions to the cloud.
  • Monitor, identify, and resolve application and database errors, including replication issues, data discrepancies, and process failures.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Clearance: Top Secret
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in systems design of major information technology systems.
  • Degree substitution: In lieu of the required degree, a substitution may be applied with 20 years of experience, and a bachelorโ€™s degree that includes 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must include any combination of statistics and mathematics that includes differential and integral calculus.
  • Operating systems expertise: Subject matter expert in Windows Server and LINUX/UNIX/Solaris.
  • Application development expertise: Subject matter expert in .NET Framework and .NET Core MVC applications written in C#.
  • Database expertise: Subject matter expert in SQL Server and Oracle databases and their respective scripting languages.
  • Cloud expertise: Subject matter expert in managing Microsoft Azure PaaS cloud systems.
