Job description

The ALLO Strategic Account Executive is a critical partner to the United States Federal Government, becoming a trusted advisor to key agencies and departments. This role is laser-focused on building and expanding our federal footprint, with secondary markets in state, local government, education, and enterprise sectors.
Exceptional candidates are driven by the desire to solve complex challenges within the federal landscape, crafting creative and impactful solutions. As an experienced and dynamic sales professional, you will be accountable for driving new federal sales, protecting and growing existing revenue streams, and providing an exceptional, high-touch customer experience. This position requires significant travel to build and maintain relationships with key federal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive and orchestrate the entire sales cycle within the federal government, and work with internal teams to best serve our federal clients.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive federal territory plan and sales strategy.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with C-Level executives and key decision-makers within federal agencies.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by understanding the existing and future IT and telecommunications initiatives of federal agencies.
  • Lead discovery meetings, presentations, and demonstrations, and guide strategic conversations to identify and address the business challenges and needs of federal clients.
  • Understand the competitive landscape and customer needs to effectively position the ALLO Business product portfolio within the federal market.
  • Respond frequently to RFPs/RFBs at the federal level, with occasional responses to state, local, and enterprise requests.
  • Understand growth drivers, pitfalls, and challenges within the federal sector.
  • Travel extensively to meet with clients, attend industry events, and build a strong federal network.
  • Live the ALLO Core Values - exceptional, honest, local, and hassle-free - in all customer interactions.

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work/military experience.
  • A combination of education and experience is acceptable.


EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-7 years of strategic sales experience, with a proven track record of success in the federal government sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in navigating the federal procurement process and working with government contracts.
  • Experience selling telecommunications, networking, MSP, and/or security solutions is highly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in working with RFPs at all levels of government, particularly federal.


SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

  • Deep understanding of the federal government landscape, including key agencies, procurement processes, and contracting vehicles.
  • Experience with and knowledge of the Telecom, networking, voice, MSP, and/or security industry.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain any necessary security clearances.
  • Works with high levels of autonomy and self-direction.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership, multitasking, planning, and organizing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior government officials.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Advanced computer skills.
