- Rotordynamic Modeling & Analysis: Conduct lateral, torsional, and axial vibration studies, including critical speed maps and Campbell diagrams.
- Seal Design & Performance: Design and validate dynamic seal concepts (e.g., labyrinth seals, brush seals, face contact seals) based on performance, wear, and leakage criteria.
- Bearing Selection & Analysis: Evaluate and optimize bearing performance (fluid film, rolling element, or magnetic) to manage stiffness, damping, and power loss.
- Design Validation & Testing: Correlate analytical predictions with test data and support testing (flight, ground, or lab) for model validation.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate machinery failures and propose corrective actions.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and API-compliant technical specifications.
Key Skills and Technical Proficiencies
- Software: Proficiency in simulation tools like AxSTREAM, XLROTOR, Matlab, ANSYS, or specialized seal analysis software.
