Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will support the design, development, and production of electrical switchboards and switchgear. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early‑career engineer to develop practical skills in mechanical design, manufacturing, and project execution within the electrical industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the mechanical design of low‑voltage and medium‑voltage switchboards and switchgear enclosures.
  • Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings, assembly drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Support senior engineers with product development, engineering changes, and design improvements.
  • Coordinate with electrical engineers to ensure mechanical designs meet project and customer requirements.
  • Work with the production team to address manufacturing and assembly issues.
  • Ensure engineering drawings and documentation are accurate and up to date.
  • Assist with prototype testing, product validation, and design reviews.
  • Follow company engineering standards, quality procedures, and project schedules.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 0–2 years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks for creating 3D models and engineering drawings.
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and mechanical design principles.
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
