Job description

Job Title:Receiving Coordinator

Department:201 - MEDS Logistics & Inventory Control
Reports to:Logistics & Inventory Supervisor
Employment Type:Full Time

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for receiving all product shipments within the Distribution Center. Activities will involve processing the receipt of medicines and medical supplies, data entry into the inventory management system, and placing product in the Distribution Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESRECEIVING
  • Receives incoming shipments
  • Data entry of product information in HELM
  • Troubleshooting inconsistencies with data inventory
  • Coordinates receiving shipments
  • Monitoring and unloading of shipments
  • Monitoring for, and working with the inventory team to solve, inventory discrepancies
  • Responsible for quality control procedures for incoming shipments
  • Inventory received product and accurate placement using forklift
  • Work with 3PL companies on the storing and pick up of their products
OTHER DUTIES
  • Backup to order packing/large volume order processing on an as needed basis
  • Helps maintain security of Distribution Center by monitoring access to and departures from the receiving and shipping departments
  • Responsible for deadlines being met in areas of responsibility
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment
  • Compacts/bails cardboard
  • Obeys safety and security policies
  • Operates forklifts and pick trucks safely and reports all equipment maintenance problems to their supervisor
  • Performs various Distribution Center housekeeping duties including sweeping and cleaning of floors
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

This position will report to the Logistics & Inventory Supervisor and will be part of the of the Operations Team. The Receiving Coordinator will not have any direct reports.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • One to three years related experience and/or training, preferred
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Experience in details data entry into inventory management systems, preferred
  • Experience in working with barcoding and scanners, preferred
  • Moderate level computer skills with Windows Operating Systems and MS Office Suite
  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred
  • Follow specific direction and complete orders as requested
  • Prioritize work and complete assignments on a timely basis
  • Knowledge of general office machines (computers, printers, fax, copiers, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate, legible records
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Exhibit a general knowledge of safety and security issues
  • Work harmoniously with supervisor and co-workers
  • Work diligently and methodically with little supervision
  • Detail-oriented but flexible
