ROLE OVERVIEW: FLOATER - LOGISTICS & WAREHOUSE SUPPORT
As a Floater, you will support the Receiving Coordinator and logistics team, ensuring efficient operations across multiple functions within the Receiving Department and the Logistics team. Your role will be dynamic and flexible, assisting with tasks from receiving and allocating products to supporting other teams in various capacities as needed. This role is perfect for someone with strong organizational skills, a flexible mindset, and a willingness to take on diverse responsibilities to keep the Receiving Department running smoothly.
Responsibilities
  • Receiving & Package Allocation:
    • Assist in receiving packages at the dock and verifying shipments.
    • Allocate products to their correct locations after receiving and sorting.
    • Ensure the accurate labeling and storage of products in assigned areas.
  • Cross-Departmental Support:
    • Assist the Receiving Coordinator with daily logistics tasks.
    • Provide support to various departments (inventory, shipping, quality control, etc.) as needed.
    • Be ready to pivot between different roles or projects depending on team needs and business demands.
  • Data Entry & Documentation:
    • Record incoming inventory in the system accurately (e.g., NetSuite, HighJump).
    • Maintain clear and organized documentation for shipments, receipts, and inventory updates.
  • Packages Receiving Control:
    • Help track packages received and ensure are accurately accounted for in the system.
    • Assist in regular stock counts and inventory audits as required.
    • Take clear, high-quality pictures of packages for documentation and inventory tracking.
    • Allocate products to the correct locations in the warehouse, ensuring easy accessibility and clear labeling for future retrieval.
    • Organize packages efficiently, maintaining an orderly warehouse environment to minimize time spent locating products.
  • Team Collaboration & Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
    • Follow up with vendors or internal teams for clarification on orders or inventory issues.
  • Flexibility & Ad-Hoc Tasks:
    • Be flexible to support other warehouse activities, including but not limited to restocking, packaging, and assisting with order fulfillment.
    • Perform other duties as assigned by management to support day-to-day operations.

  • Experience: Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not required. Willingness to learn is key.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to perform basic data entry tasks.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift, move, and organize products of varying weights. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Ability to switch between roles quickly, adapting to the evolving needs of the Receiving area and business operations.
  • Communication: Good verbal communication skills; ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external vendors.
