Job description

Pre-Sales & Solution Design

  • Own technical discovery: conduct in-depth needs assessments with prospects to surface RCM pain points, workflow inefficiencies, and integration requirements.
  • Provide compelling product demonstrations to new business opportunities, translating MedEvolve's Effective Intelligence® platform capabilities into clear ROI narratives tailored to each prospect's revenue cycle environment.
  • Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires with technically accurate and commercially compelling content.
  • Build custom proof-of-concept workflows and sandbox environments to de-risk technical objections during the sales process.
  • Lead scoping sessions to define integration requirements, data migration paths, and go-live timelines.

RCM & Domain Expertise

  • Act as the subject matter expert on end-to-end revenue cycle workflows: patient access, charge capture, coding, claims submission, payer adjudication, denial management, and payment posting.
  • Advise prospects on industry benchmarks, compliance standards (HIPAA, CMS guidelines), and best practices for optimizing net collection rates and reducing days in AR.
  • Translate complex billing regulations and payer rules into clear product requirements and sales narratives.
  • Stay current on payer policy changes, ICD-10/CPT coding updates, and CMS reimbursement rule changes to inform prospect conversations.

Technical Integration & Architecture

  • Guide prospects through integration architecture discussions including EHR/PM connectivity (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Greenway, NextGen, etc.), HL7/FHIR standards, and API-based data exchange.
  • Collaborate with Implementation and Engineering to validate technical feasibility prior to contract execution.
  • Document integration specifications and solution designs to facilitate smooth Sales-to-Implementation handoff.
  • Evaluate prospect IT environments and surface risks or dependencies that could impact go-live success.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Account Executives as the primary technical resource across the full sales cycle.
  • Provide structured feedback to Product and Engineering based on prospect objections, feature gaps, and competitive intelligence gathered in the field.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and webinars as a MedEvolve thought leader.
  • Contribute to Sales Enablement by developing technical playbooks, competitive battlecards, and demo scripts.

Customer Success Transition

  • Lead transition briefings with Implementation and Customer Success post-contract, ensuring all technical and operational commitments are documented.
  • Support pilot programs and early deployments to validate solution performance and accelerate customer time-to-value.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or Pre-Sales role within healthcare IT or digital health.
  • Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle management — billing, coding, denial management, payer contracting — from a vendor, payer, or provider operations background.
  • Hands-on experience with EHR and practice management platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, Greenway, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of healthcare interoperability standards: HL7 v2, FHIR R4, X12 EDI (837/835/270/271), and REST API integrations.
  • Ability to deliver polished executive-level presentations to C-suite stakeholders (CFOs, CIOs, CMIOs, Revenue Cycle Directors).
  • Proven track record supporting complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise SaaS deals of $250K+.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to distill technical complexity into business value.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Business, Computer Science, or related field.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with AI/ML-powered RCM platforms, predictive analytics, or workflow automation tools in a healthcare revenue cycle context.
  • Familiarity with value-based care models, MSSP/ACO structures, or alternative payment arrangements.
  • CPC (Certified Professional Coder), CRCR (Certified Revenue Cycle Representative), or CHFP (Certified Healthcare Financial Professional) certification.
  • Prior experience at an RCM services company, health system revenue cycle department, or digital health startup.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA technical safeguard requirements and healthcare data security frameworks (HITRUST, SOC 2 Type II).
  • Experience with HubSpot CRM, Gong, or other sales intelligence platforms.

MBA or Master's in Health Administration, or a related field.
