Job description

E-Logic is hiring a qualified Security Technician I - Range Security (Surge Support) to provide intermittent guard support for test range operations at the U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center (ATC) / Army Test and Evaluation Command (ATEC) located at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland. This position supports mission-critical test activities by providing on-demand security coverage in a high-risk, controlled test environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide armed/unarmed range security and guard support during test operations.
  • Operate in two-person security teams to ensure safety and compliance across active test ranges.
  • Work 12-hour night shifts (typically 1800-0600) in support of mission testing activities.
  • Respond to Government call-ups with minimum 4 hours' notice for surge operational needs.
  • Monitor restricted test range areas and enforce all applicable security protocols.
  • Support safe execution of test operations by maintaining perimeter security and access control.
  • Communicate effectively with range control, test personnel, and security leadership during operations.
  • Maintain vigilance in a dynamic and high-risk test environment.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Must meet the same qualifications as Security Technician I (Gate Access Control role).
  • Prior experience in security guard, military, or restricted-access environments preferred.
  • Secret Clearance is mandatory.
  • Ability to work night shifts, extended hours, and rapidly deploy on short notice.
  • Strong situational awareness and ability to operate in a team-based security environment.
  • Physical ability to stand, patrol, and operate in outdoor test range conditions.
