OPERATIONS INTERN

State College, Pennsylvania

THE RUNDOWN

Playfly Sports is looking for an Operations Intern to join our team in State College, Pennsylvania for the fall semester.

The primary responsibility of this position is to collaborate with the Partnership Services and Sales Team to provide outstanding service at university sports property athletic events and support the full-time staff in management of sold inventory. This position will assist in football gameday operational tasks, including but not limited to, Beaver Stadium Block Party & Kid's Zone, Penn State Football Pregame Radio Show, coordination of corporate hospitality events and perform other gameday tasks as required to help ensure the success of university sports property.

WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH

Support full-time Client Services and Sales staff with game day operational tasks, including but not limited to, Beaver Stadium Block Party & Kid's Zone setup/breakdown, on-site execution of Penn State Football Pregame Radio Show and Corporate Hospitality Village set up/breakdown, as well as other necessary tasks to ensure the overall success of Penn State Sports Enterprises.

Participate in weekly pre-event planning calls for Corporate Partner activations at the Beaver Stadium Block Party & Kid's Zone

On-site execution of the Beaver Stadium Block Party & Kid's Zone including setup/breakdown, coordinating with Corporate Partners, Food Vendors and other stakeholders and ensuring a successful gameday experience for all

Assist with operational/logistical components of the Penn State Football Pregame Radio Show, coordinate with on-air talent, radio broadcast team and other external stakeholders

Provide high quality customer service and communication

Represent Playfly Sports, Penn State Sports Enterprises and Penn State Athletics in a professional manner

Other job-related duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

Minimum of Fall 2026 semester availability.

Customer service, Operations and/or brand partnership experience

Responsible, motivated, and comfortable interacting with fans, Corporate Partners, and other vendors

Strong problem-solving skills, detail oriented, flexibility, and willingness to participate in multiple events

TRAVEL, LIFTING, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Responsible for attending all home Football games and other assigned sports home games (including afternoon, night, and weekend games)

Ability to lift a minimum of 25lbs

Must have reliable transportation

3-5 in-office hours per week.
