We're looking for our next Radio News Intern!


What you'll be doing:

The radio news intern* will work directly with the news director, managing editor, reporters and digital staff to create and produce content for our station. The intern will gain audio and digital experience in public media broadcasting and news content as well as complete the internship with a varied portfolio. Hours are flexible and work may be hybrid - a blend of remote and in-office work.

In summary, this individual will:

  • Assist with research, drafting, and proofing news content
  • Conduct interviews and cover news to help create content for on-air and digital platforms
  • Actively participate in broadcast projects
  • Perform various ad hoc projects as assigned

What you'll need:

  • Enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student in a communications, marketing, journalism, or related field*
  • Familiarity and general interest in audio production and its digital distribution, community journalism, reaching underserved populations
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office or similar programs
  • Creative, approachable, team-focused, professional demeanor
