Pay rate for this position: $22.40 / hr
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above range represents the organization's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting
Responsibilities
Looking for a fulfilling career? We're hiring shift coordinators to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position gives you the opportunity to showcase your leadership and organizational skills in the role of the shift coordinator. Not only will you be a DSP, you will be an advocate and voice as people exercise informed decision making in regards to their own well-being. You will be an ally as they communicate their wants and needs to others. The shift coordinator is a hands-on professional that has a direct role in supporting the daily activities of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. With the assistance of the leadership team, the shift coordinator will be responsible for coordinating work schedules for all staff.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of High School diploma or High School Equivalency; college experience preferred.
  • Valid New York State drivers' license that meets Heritage Christian Services motor vehicle standards. Reliable transportation required.
  • Physical ability to lift over 50 pounds and provide assistance to people who require support with transfers.
  • Minimum six months experience in direct support is required.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate:
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
  • Flexibility in scheduling
  • Ability to lead and motivate others
