  • Provide security and protection for guests and company assets
  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Pennsylvania Harness Racing Commission, ensuring compliance and minimizing violations.
  • Continuous and diligent monitoring of the racing side and surrounding areas on property.
  • Ensure employees and people in the harness racing industry comply with the established policies and procedures, including reporting & documenting all incidents.
  • Administer first aid and CPR within acquired training and ability.
  • Report unsafe conditions and/or incidents.
  • Respond to disturbances and emergency alarms on property.
  • Check in all vehicles at the stable gate entrance.
  • Must complete written reports regarding incidents.
  • Provide security escort services to employees and guests as required.
  • Direct traffic and control parking when required.
  • When required assist local, state, federal law enforcement agencies and emergency services.
  • Perform mobile patrols as designated in a company vehicle.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English, possess excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to acquire a working knowledge of Company policies/procedures, federal and state laws, and PHRC regulation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe working environment for guests and employees.
  • Critical thinking skills, including sound judgment and ability to make effective decisions.
  • Maintain certification in CPR and AED.
  • Maintain a PHRC and PGCB credentials.
  • Must obtain the oath of office as a PA Peace Officer within 30 days of hire.
  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and proof of insurability if driving a company vehicle.
  • Must meet all training standards as required by regulatory bodies.
  • Must maintain professional and well-groomed appearance, including clean and neatly pressed uniform.
