Job description

Description The Lake Forest Recreation Department Sailing Program (LFS) is looking for individuals to work as race coaches for our spring and summer racing seasons. Race coaches will be responsible for various youth teams in Optimists, Scholastic Racing, Club 420s, Lasers & Keelboats. Spring Season: Spring coaches typically work 3:45 PM-6:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, with the possibility of adult lessons on Friday or Saturday mornings.

Summer Season: Summer coaches typically work Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-4:00 PM, from June 8 through August 7. The primary responsibility during this period is leading and supporting the LFS Summer Sailing Programs. Additional Information: .

Management opportunities available, depending on qualifications (DOQ). . Weekend availability is required for regattas.

Traveling to regional regattas to coach LFS teams. The coach will primarily coach youth sailors and focus on building skills and the team. Assist with regatta logistics and administration.

Qualifications Candidates should have high level sailboat racing experience in the optimist, Club 420, Laser or Collegiate style sailing.
