Summer Day Camp Staff

For over 15 years Easterseals Crossroads’ camps have provided fun and engaging summer camp experiences for campers with disabilities. We’re gearing up for the 2026 Summer Camp Season by hiring Camp FUEL, Camp QUEST, and Camp Ability staff.

You can be part of the fun this year in one of the following roles:

· Camp Ability Classroom Lead Counselor

· Camp FUEL Assistant Lead Counselor

· Camp QUEST Assistant Lead Counselor

· Camp Ability Classroom Assistant Counselor

Camp Counselor Summer Camp Schedule:

· May 26 through May 29 - Camp Lead Counselors training week

· June 1 through June 5 - Camp Staff training week

· June 8 through July 16 – Monday through Thursday

· Camps run 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with Before & After Care available

CampAbility (ages 4-10): Warren Early Childhood Center, 1401 North Mitthoeffer Road, Indianapolis.

Camp FUEL (ages 11-17): Easterseals Crossroads, 4740 Kingsway Drive, Indianapolis.

Camp QUEST (ages vary): Easterseals Crossroads, 4740 Kingsway Drive, Indianapolis.

Camp staff responsibilities include:

· Facilitating daily activities and events

· Engaging campers in a variety of indoor and outdoor experiences

· Collaborating with teammates to ensure a welcoming camp environment

· Coordinating transportation for campers to field trips

High school degree or equivalent required. The ideal candidate will have a background in education, speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, a related field, or have previous summer camp experience. Camp FUEL staff require a current valid driver's license, insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for transporting campers, which is a requirement of this position.

Starting Rate: $15 an hour, typically 30-35 hours a week
