The Position:

The Service Quotation Specialist is a key commercial support role within Sungrow’s Service organization, responsible for preparing and managing all out-of-warranty, out-of-scope, and non-standard service quotations for PV and BESS customers across North America. This role also leads warranty extension outreach, coordinates scoping with internal teams, and tracks customer follow-ups through PO and invoice completion. This position requires owning short-cycle aftermarket commercial activity, ensuring accurate pricing, proper coordination, and timely customer response.

The role reports to the Service Commercial Lead and works closely with Field Service, Service Engineering, Service Operations, Spare Parts, Supply Chain, Finance/AR, and HQ.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and issue quotations for out-of-warranty service work, including labor, materials, and mobilization.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (Field Service, Service Engineering, Operations, Parts, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal) to confirm scope accuracy and pricing.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to customers nearing warranty expiration and provide warranty extension options and pricing.
  • Maintain organized tracking of all quotes, customer follow-ups, PO statuses, and related documentation.
  • Support accurate invoicing by ensuring proper handoff from quotation to execution and collaborating with Finance.
  • Follow up on Accounts Receivable for all invoices related to service work quoted by this role.
  • Maintain and update pricing templates, quote logs, cost references, and internal approval documentation.
  • Communicate with customers and Sungrow Headquarters as needed; Mandarin language ability preferred for HQ coordination.
  • Recommend process improvements to streamline quotation workflow and enhance customer responsiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in aftermarket service quoting, field service support, or commercial operations (energy, electrical equipment, or industrial OEM experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of service workflows, field execution requirements, and cost drivers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple time-sensitive requests.
  • Strong analytical and commercial thinking skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related field.
  • 2–5 years experience in a commercial, service, or technical operations role.
  • Proactive, customer-focused, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Travel:

  • Less than 20%

For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated annual base salary for this role is between $57,000 - $80,000 This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base salary offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
