Job description

We are looking for a Tax Accountant with public accounting experience to prepare tax payments and returns for our clients. To succeed in this role, you should show interest in following changes to tax regulations and laws. Excellent time management skills are essential, as you’ll have to ensure our company meets tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tax payments
  • Prepare tax returns for all types of entities (1120, 1120S, 1065, 990, 1041)
  • Complete quarterly and annual tax reports
  • Client communication throughout the year as needed.
  • Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals
  • Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
  • Follow industry trends and track changes related to taxes
  • Compile financial statements
  • Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Tax Accountant, Tax Analyst or Tax Preparer
  • Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Must be proficient in QuickBooks Pro and QuickBooks online. Preferably QuickBooks certified or equivalent experience.
  • Must be proficient in UltraTax CS or similar accounting software
  • Computer literacy (Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel is a must)
