Job description

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this role is to support the effectiveness and continuous improvement of Core Training Services by coordinating team resources, mentoring trainers, and contributing to both customer-facing and internal initiatives. This position ensures high-quality training delivery through collaboration, certification oversight, and hands-on support, while also assisting with operational processes such as scheduling, queue management, and onsite preparation. By identifying improvement opportunities and actively engaging with team members and customers, this role helps drive consistency, efficiency, and excellence in training services.

Key Accountabilities
  • Provide onsite training and support to clients going through a Project Process.
  • Assist clients during their Go Live week.
  • Train on system configuration and provide post training support.
  • Schedule remote support assistance with clients for critical milestones.
  • Recommend best practice workflows to customers in order to help them best utilize the system.
  • Conduct remote training sessions with clients on an as needed basis.
  • Aide in the training of new Implementation team members.
  • Shadow and provide feedback on performance of Implementation team members.
  • Have a leadership mentality and provide constructive feedback on people, processes, and projects.
  • Work to continue to improve upon the experience McLeod offers our team members and our customers.
  • Provide consultative analysis of current business practices.
  • Educate yourself on the customer and their needs, wants, and requests before all onsite visits.
  • Become a subject matter expert in at least one of the core functions of McLeod software.
  • Complete detailed reports after all onsite visits to document the trip details and outcomes.
  • Be available for Performance Accelerator and Additional Training trips as necessary.
  • During the initial staging of new accounts, review & certify the base software to ensure a smooth customer experience.
  • Review the customer’s contract and verify any additional modules purchased.
  • Prepare Training Agendas for customers.
  • Communicate with the customer prior to onsite training so that they fully understand the intent of the training.
  • Record time expenditures accurately for billing to the customer.
  • Keep abreast of new product development at McLeod and trends in the trucking industry.
  • Attend training classes and seminars to continually improve training skills.
  • Continually review McLeod documentation and make suggestions for improvements or notify manager of required corrections.
  • Prepare training materials/handouts when needed.
  • Ability to travel minimum 50%. Occasional weekend travel may be required.
Education / Experience
  • Highschool degree or equivalent and 7+ years of training or education experience; or Bachelor’s with 3+ years of training or educations experience, required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of McLeod Software training experience, required.
  • Working knowledge of the trucking and transportation industry, preferred. 2 years of project focused coordination, preferred.
Computer Skills
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. 2+ years of experience with McLeod’s suite of products, required. (i.e., LoadMaster, PowerBroker, and/or DocumentPower.).
