As Quality Engineer/Manager, you will manage TruckLabs’ Quality Assurance program across our supply chain and at our production facility.

  • Drive the development of the Trucklabs quality policy–including related processes and procedures– working with internal stakeholders including Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, Procurement, and Program Management.  
  • Develop sampling and  inspection plans, design and develop forms, create instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. 
  • Design or specify inspection and testing equipment and conduct or oversee internal incoming and outgoing/final inspections.
  • Identify, monitor, and report basic KPIs including Cost of Quality.
  • Audit suppliers regularly and perform investigation and root cause analyses to drive improvements. Develop and manage a supplier ratings/scorecard system.
  • Coordinate disposition and resolution of non-conformances, liaising with customers and suppliers to develop, implement and monitor corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans. 
  • Investigate build failures and lead cross-functional initiatives to execute failure analysis, determine root causes, and drive systematic corrective actions.
  • Contribute quality expertise during supplier verification, and/or product changes.
  • Develop requirements for critical-to-quality attributes by collaborating in feasibility analysis, design for manufacturing, cost optimization, inspection strategy, and reliability attributes, including review and sign-off of engineering production drawings.
  • Maintain, drive, and incrementally improve the APQP development process with a focus on Product Development Plan deliverables, risk mitigation, and long-term growth.

  • A Bachelor Degree, preferably in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Aerospace, Automotive, and/or Heavy Truck Manufacturing experience.
  • 3+ years of Quality Engineering experience in a fast-paced environment (aerospace or automotive preferred).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector/Certified Quality Engineer/Certified Quality Auditor is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Quality Management Systems ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or AS 9100.
  • Knowledgeable with New Product Introduction, APQP, and PPAP methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and CAPA tools.
  • Experience solving complex problems with tools such as 8D, 7 Diamond (GM), and A3. 
  • Experience deploying advanced quality methodologies, including creating FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Capacity Analysis to enable repeatable long-term production.
  • MS Office/Google Suite proficiency. 
  • CMM Programming is a plus, 3D CAD Software is a plus.
  • Confidence and courage to effectively lead, present, and participate in meetings and status sessions, even when relaying bad news or when you disagree with other leaders or customers. 
  • Desire and ability to travel up to ~25% of the time.
