Job Description:

The Passport product division of Jack Henry Banking is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer that will participate in creating design documents and work breakdown structures for our jhaPassport.pro product. This software allows banks to authorize and process online, near-real-time ATM, PIN and signature point-of-sale (POS), and Internet purchase transactions. jhaPassport.pro runs on QNX (resembles UNIX).

Required Skills:

  • Solid C Programming knowledge
  • MySQL and/or SQL Server
  • ATM knowledge:
  • NCR AANDC, SMI and Diebold
  • States and Screens
  • JavaScript
  • Familiarity with QNX or Unix
  • ISO 8583 and BASE24 Network specifications
  • EFT Experience
  • Microsoft TFS 

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Creating design documents and work breakdown structures

Coding to mandates based on vendor/network specifications

Provide time, cost and complexity analysis to management based on specifications, functional specifications and/or business requirements.

Production software bug/defect resolution

Interaction with TFS for source code control and daily sprint time tracking entry.

Additional Information:

This role will be 50/50 with maintenance of the current ATM platform A3 and keeping up with federal mandates that come out in April and October. They currently have someone on the team with strong ISO 8583 experience so they would prefer strong ATM development knowledge.
