Payment Architect Engineer II Premium

A payment architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing payment solutions for various platforms and applications. They work closely with business analysts, developers, testers, and stakeholders to ensure that the payment systems meet the functional and non-functional requirements, as well as the security and compliance standards. They also troubleshoot and resolve any payment-related issues and provide technical support and guidance to the payment team.



Responsibilities 

Design and develop payment architectures and solutions for various platforms and applications, such as web, mobile, e-commerce, etc. 

 Integrate and configure payment gateways, processors, and providers, such as Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, etc. 

Ensure that the payment systems are scalable, reliable, secure, and compliant with the industry best practices and regulations. 

 Perform testing, debugging, and optimization of the payment systems and components. 

Monitor and analyze the performance and availability of the payment systems and identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks. 

Provide technical support and guidance to the payment team and other stakeholders. 

Research and evaluate new payment technologies and trends and recommend improvements and enhancements. 

Document and maintain the payment architectures and solutions and update them as needed. Requirements 

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field. 

 Proven experience as a payment architect or a similar role. 

Strong knowledge and experience with payment systems, protocols, and standards, such as ISO 20022, PCI-DSS, ISO 8583, etc. 

Proficient in payment gateways, processors, and providers, such as Stripe, PayPal, Braintree, etc. 

 Proficient in various Payment Use Cases such Bill Pay, Cross Border, etc.  Expertise in programming languages, such as Java, C#, Python, etc. 

 Experience with databases, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with cloud platforms and services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, etc. 

 Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. 

Attention to detail and quality orientation.
