As a Quality Engineer Manager Sr within PNC's Corporate and Institutional Banking Technology organization, you will be based in Dallas, TX.
The Senior Quality Engineer Manager is responsible for establishing and scaling Quality Engineering practices across multiple delivery teams supporting multiple products. This role provides strategic and handson leadership to drive automationfirst testing, modern QE frameworks, and AIenabled quality solutions that ensure highquality, resilient, and compliant enterprise platforms. Additionally, the Senior Quality Assurance Manager would partner closely with Tech Engineers, Product, and DevOps teams to embed quality throughout the SDLC, accelerate delivery, and improve production stability while managing and mentoring QE leads and engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and operationalize QE strategy, standards, and governance
Lead highperforming QE teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development
Drive test automation as the default approach across UI, API, integration, and regression test layers
Remain handson with automation design, framework decisions, and complex testing scenarios using tools such as Selenium and API automation frameworks
Introduce and scale AIdriven test automation and intelligent testing solutions
Integrate QE practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for continuous testing and fast feedback
Define and track quality metrics, KPIs, and risk indicators to improve product quality and release confidence
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to ensure early test involvement, testability, and shiftleft strategies
Ensure compliance with SDLC, regulatory, audit, and risk requirements where applicable
Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience establishing QE practices and automation frameworks from the ground up
o Strong handson experience with test automation tools, like Selenium (Java), Playwright, API automation, Test framework design and maintenance
o Solid understanding of modern application architectures, including Microservices, APIs, Eventdriven systems
Ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Architecture organizations
Strong analytical, problemsolving, and communication skills
Experience implementing or scaling AIbased or intelligent test automation tools (selfhealing automation, test prioritization, analyticsdriven testing)
Exposure to CI/CD tools and DevOps practices integrating automated testing
Experience with cloudnative and containerized environments
Knowledge of performance, resilience, and nonfunctional testing
Experience operating within regulated or auditheavy environments

  • Oversees test plan execution, ensuring alignment with project/program goals and resolving blockers and risks impacting timelines.
  • Validates that data aligns to the overall test strategy, including System/Business End to End testing. Provides support to Quality Engineers and Manager for issues related to test data creation, acquisition, and provisioning.
  • Reviews post-production validation plan and collaborates with business partners to evaluate outcomes, ensuring results are strategically integrated into future test plans.
  • Reviews all planned changes, ensuring testing has been completed to meet test strategy requirements and that team leaders have completed all required documentation.
  • Identifies and develops mitigations, trends and process improvements, communicating them to the Quality Engineer Director.
  • Manages Quality Engineer staffing needs and provides strategic input on resource requirements during annual planning to ensure organizational alignment.
  • Fosters professional development and skills enhancement for all direct reports, including engineers and managers.
