Quality Control Associate (Full Time)


Department: Order Fulfillment

Reports To: Order Fulfillment Supervisor

Location: Chicago (Addison), IL


Job Summary

The Quality Control Associate is responsible for certifying all customer orders. This includes consolidating orders into the correct bins and carts, scanning orders to ensure all items are present, locating Lost Items in the warehouse, and labeling all items and orders to signify they are ready to fulfill.


Responsibilities

Order Certification:

  • Use a phone, laptop, and scanner along with BuyWander's QA tool to scan and certify all customer orders before the customer arrives.
  • Label all orders, carts, and items with the appropriate stickers to signify they are ready to fulfill.
  • Consolidate orders and place them in the appropriate tote or cart.

Finding Lost Items:

  • Assist the Pick Team in locating Lost Items in the warehouse to complete orders.
  • Update item locations as they are found.
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inventory management.
  • Ability to move quickly while maintaining accuracy.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to locate Lost Items and resolve order discrepancies.
  • Comfortable using computers and various software programs.
  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn new tasks.

Physical Requirements

  • This role involves sustained physical activity throughout the shift. The following are bona fide requirements of the position:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach overhead frequently.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace in a goal-driven environment.
  • Position requires seeing, hearing, use of hands and fingers, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities.
  • Must be able to communicate with others including talking, hearing, and listening and exchanging communication.
