Requirements
- Current, valid RN license in the state
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (must obtain within 60 days of hire)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (must obtain within six months of hire)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (must obtain within six months of hire)
- Certification in a de-escalation program (must complete within six months of hire)
- Completion of procedural sedation module (must complete within six months of hire)
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) certification (must complete within six months of hire)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification (must obtain within six months of hire)
- QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) training (must complete within one year of hire)
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients within nursing scope of practice.
- Provide education to patients according to their needs.
- Transcribe and implement physician orders and protocols.
- Coordinate healthcare team activities and delegate tasks to ancillary personnel.
- Maintain effective communication with staff and team members.
- Ensure confidentiality and ethical accountability in patient care.
Compliance / Notes
- Must complete yearly required continuing education units (CEUs).
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.
