What are some common challenges faced when preparing and presenting business case studies as part of a case study analyst role?

One common challenge in a case study analyst role is gathering reliable and comprehensive data, as information can sometimes be incomplete or hard to verify. Another challenge is presenting findings in a way that is both detailed and accessible, ensuring stakeholders can readily understand and act on recommendations. Successfully addressing these challenges can lead to more impactful insights and greater visibility within the organization.

Job description

The Opportunity

Evergreen is hosting a full-day case study workshop at our San Francisco office for first-year undergraduate freshmen interested in private equity, finance, and alternative investment strategies.

The day is designed to be an educational experience led by members of Evergreen's investing team; the workshop will give students early exposure to how a holding company thinks about sourcing, evaluating, and owning businesses over the long term. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the private equity landscape and the diligence process that drives real investment decisions.

Beyond the content itself, the workshop is also an opportunity to build relationships with the Evergreen team and fellow students. For those interested in continuing to engage with us, this program serves as a natural pathway to our 2028 Summer Investing Analyst program.

What You'll Experience

  • Opening Keynote: Evergreen's Founder and CEO kicks off the day with the Evergreen story, discussing our origin, core values, forever-hold investment philosophy, and decentralized operating model
  • Midday Case Study: Led by members of Evergreen's investing team, this session combines short presentations on core aspects of our diligence process, including financial statement evaluation, key deal analyses, market assessment, and operational evaluation; students will have the chance to evaluate a real investment opportunity we were presented with
  • Afternoon Presentation: Present your team's investment recommendation to Evergreen professionals and receive live feedback
  • Closing Fireside Chat: An open Q&A with members of our investment and operations teams about careers in finance, PE, and beyond

Who Should Apply

  • Current first-year undergraduate students,ย graduating in Winter 2028 or Spring 2029
  • Students with an interest in finance, investing, business, or economics - no prior experience required
  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Located in or able to travel to the San Francisco Bay Area for the day

Logistics
