Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. In this vital role, you will drive the sourcing, purchasing, and supply chain management processes to ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services that meet quality standards and budget expectations. Your expertise will help optimize inventory levels, strengthen supplier relationships, and streamline procurement workflows across the organization. Duties

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes using ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, including requisitioning, purchase order creation, and contract management.
  • Source suppliers through effective sourcing strategies, evaluate vendor proposals, and negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure the best value for the company.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain teams to forecast needs using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools and ensure inventory control aligns with production schedules.
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships by conducting regular supplier evaluations, managing vendor performance, and resolving issues related to quality or delivery.
  • Oversee procurement documentation, including contracts, purchase agreements, and compliance records, ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards.
  • Monitor procurement metrics such as cost savings, lead times, and supplier performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Coordinate logistics activities related to inbound shipments and inventory management to optimize supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS is essential for managing procurement workflows effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement management principles including sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, vendor management, and supply chain processes.
  • Familiarity with inventory management techniques and tools used in manufacturing environments to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable pricing and contractual terms.
  • Ability to analyze supply chain data using procurement metrics to drive strategic decisions.
