Job description

Are you customer service oriented and have a good understanding of assessing pre-owned vehicles? Servco is looking for a Used Car Purchasing Specialist to assist with purchasing pre-owned vehicles directly from customers at our Used Car Buying Center.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive in-bound calls and make out-bound calls to schedule appointments for sellers to meet with the Used Car Buying Center Manager or Used Car Purchasing Specialist
  • Source used car sales leads via Craigslist, Facebook Marketplace, etc.
  • Appraise vehicles on site and remotely using digital software
  • Obtain Buying Center Manager's approval to purchase pre-owned vehicles
  • Communicate purchase price to customer and inform Buying Center Manager if customer accepts or wants to negotiate further
  • Assist Buying Center Manager with obtaining purchase documents and have customer properly complete purchase documents
  • Obtain vehicle keys from customer and transport vehicle to Servco Pre-owned lot

Requirements:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Business or Auto Technology degree preferred
  • Minimum of two years of customer service work experience
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to operate standard shift preferred
  • Auto sales or vehicle appraisal work experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer relations skills
  • Knowledge of automotive makes and models
  • Basic proficiency with Word and Excel
  • DealerTrack, Dealersocket, Roadster, and/or ACV MaxDigital experience preferred
  • Multi-tasker and able work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Detail oriented with strong math/financial skills
  • Must be customer savvy, a team player, and able to adapt to changes

*Compensation: $17/hour base pay + commission earned on every vehicle purchased. Total earning potential, including incentives, is performance-based and dependent on individual job performance.
