REAL ALLOY is the market leader in third-party aluminum recycling and specification alloy production.ย  Headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, we have 16 plants strategically located across the United States, Mexico, and Canada.ย  We convert aluminum scrap and by-products into reusable aluminum metal for a growing number of applications across various industries. We are ideally positioned to respond to the needs of an increasingly recycling-conscious world. Advanced technologies enable us to process a large variety of scrap and dross and reduce the amount of residual waste from aluminum manufacturing that would otherwise end up as landfill.


Real Alloy is seeking a highly organized and dependable Purchasing Agent to join our team in Post Falls Idaho!ย  We are looking for a proactive Purchasing Agent who takes pride in ensuring materials, supplies, and services are available when and where they are needed. If you enjoy keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently then this is the role for you. The ideal candidate for the Purchasing Agent position will be able to efficiently:ย 

  • Purchase facility supplies and services by issuing purchase ordersย 
  • Enter receipts into Oracle in a timely manner
  • Manage account payables for non-metals invoicing
  • Maintain all A/P, maintenance data system, and purchasing records according to our internal audit guidelines
  • Resolve issues with services provided by vendorsย 
  • Resolve discrepancies on unmatched invoices/transactions or erroneous requests for payments through collaboration with internal and external sourcesย 
  • Monitor plant costs for supplies and servicesย 
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and report plant cost reductions

This role will also provide administrative support for the maintenance data system and to the Plant Controller, HR, CSR, Maintenance Manager, and HSE as needed.ย 


  • Associates degree or equivalent years experienceย 
  • Ability to effectively communicate, problem solve, and multi-taskย 
  • Must be able to influence and work with all levels of employeesย 
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills are essentialย 
  • Highly motivated, goal oriented, ethical, and challenge driven
  • Proven ability to function successfully with minimal supervisionย 
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office productsย 
  • Experience with Oracle and computerized maintenance management system preferredย 
  • Maintenance and part knowledge helpfulย
