Job description

Summary of Position

The Assistant, Worldwide Publicity will report to the VP, Worldwide Publicity and will assist the publicity team in developing and implementing publicity campaigns to promote Lionsgate films.

Responsibilities
  • Support the VP of Worldwide Publicity by providing administrative support including managing schedule and calendar, coordinating and booking travel, screening calls, communicating with other marketing departments, compiling meeting notes, and executing all other administrative tasks
  • Track, compile, and distribute daily press breaks, tune-ins, and key media coverage while monitoring relevant industry news
  • Facilitate talent and filmmaker logistics, including booking and managing travel, creating and updating schedules, confirming glam rates, and ensuring seamless movements for talent and filmmakers
  • Coordinate screenings via link as well as handle theater and screening room bookings on an as needed basis
  • Process and track budgets and invoices
  • Maintain and update key internal documents, including publicity strategies, campaign bibles, decks, schedules, media lists, contacts, key dates and more
  • Staff and support a wide range of publicity events, including premieres, junkets, talk shows, PA tours, festivals, award shows, editorial shoots, and set visits
  • Provide scheduling and organizational support for the broader team as needed
  • Prepare business-related expenses using CONCUR; make sure all expenses are completed and submitted in a timely manner
  • Monitor relevant industry news daily
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a marketing capacity
  • Minimum of 1 year experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.); familiarity with Google Documents a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications or related degree preferred
  • Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with hours
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Superior communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of Management
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and deal with deadline pressure
  • Strong work ethic
  • Overall working knowledge with the SAP and Concur system
