Job description

Are you an experienced and detail-oriented editor and writer? DCA's Office of Publications, Design and Editing (PDE) seeks a self-motivated and organized editor to join a team of skilled staff responsible for the development of consumer and licensee publications and graphics on behalf of DCA and its boards, bureaus, and programs.
Under the direction of the PDE Manager (Information Officer II), the Publications Editor (Information Officer I) is responsible for editing, writing, and coordinating DCA publications. Please see the duty statement for full job description and duties.

Working Conditions
Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview. However, they must reside in the State of California once they are hired and start working.
Effective July 1, 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) which reduces an employee's monthly salary in exchange for leave credits. Employees appointed to this classification will have their monthly salary reduced and will accrue hours of PLP 2025 on the first day of each pay period as outlined on "Section 2113 - Personal Leave Program (PLP)" of the CalHR Manual. The salary range(s) included on this job posting do not reflect the reduction in pay.
The position is expected to work 40 hours per week each year and may be required to work specified hours based on the business needs of the office. The incumbent works in an office setting, with artificial light and temperature control. Daily access to and use of a personal computer and telephone is essential.
