OVERVIEW

BMWC is an industrial construction company seeking a Planner/Scheduler to join the team. This position plays an important role in supporting the successful planning, scheduling, and execution of large-scale industrial construction projects.
You will be part of a top-performing project services team and report to an expert Project Controls Manager in the industry. In this role, you'll work closely with project leadership, field teams, and other key stakeholders to develop and maintain project schedules, track progress, identify potential impacts, and help keep projects moving forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Planner/Scheduler, you will:
  • Lead project teams through interactive planning sessions to develop workflow plans, project schedules, and detailed labor plans.
  • Integrate planning information into the project schedule, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project requirements.
  • Update schedule with progress, monitor key work sequences and milestones, and notify project team of deviations to the baseline schedule.
  • Lead planning sessions as needed to re-sequence the work and support project recovery efforts.
  • Prepare and maintain craft loading plans, physical percent complete tracking, craft productivity reports, and key commodity curves.
  • Analyze resource loading and craft productivity to identify potential impacts to the project schedule.
  • Perform routine site walks to support progress updates, schedule monitoring, and field coordination.
  • Manage the planning and scheduling interfaces between BMWC, the client, engineering, procurement, subcontractors, and owner representatives.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of Primavera P6 (V 15.1 or later), including activity coding, resource loading, multiple schedules, baselines, data imports, and data exports.
  • Provide scheduling and planning support for proposal development.
  • Generate and analyze cost and earned value data from an ERP system.
  • Support BMWC's safety culture by reporting any condition or behavior that may lead to a safety incident.

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Additional coursework, training and/or certification related to project controls, planning, scheduling, or construction management are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in project controls, planning, or scheduling roles.
  • Experience supporting multiple project sites or distributed project teams preferred.
  • Previous experience in the construction industry highly desired.
  • Scheduling experience in pharmaceutical, semiconductor, petrochemical, or other mechanical process industries preferred.
  • Experience with Primavera P6
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Strong service orientation and ability to work effectively with diverse project teams.
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and professionalism in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability.
