Job description

Overview
This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit's Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.
Responsibilities
Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple multimillion dollar proposals simultaneously, including TINA Sweeps and proposals going through negotiations
  • Ensure compliance with DFAR and FAR in order to have a successful proposal and to prepare for future audits by reading and reviewing RFPs, reviewing and pricing BOEs, developing financial reports for reviews such as staffing charts, cash flows, and labor and cost breakdowns, preparing Cost Volumes for proposals above TINA and subject to Certified Cost and Pricing Data, and completing checklists such as Proposal Adequacy and BOE Compliance Review
  • Import current FPRP indirect and direct rates, travel rates, and escalation factors into ProPricer
  • Through the utilization of standard tools, the specialist develops cost estimates, proposals, and business decision data for product development and established programs, changes in company products or processes, and other management requests to enhance the revenue of existing contracts and the support for the pursuit of new business
  • Uses historical data and engineering task and hardware descriptions and applies regression analysis or other estimating tools and methods to develop parametric estimates and "should cost" analyses and/or develop labor, material, and other non-labor cost estimates
  • Manages the process to collects cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors and applies appropriate cost estimating rates and factors to estimates
  • Develops and maintains estimating tools, data and cost estimating relationships. Provides cost and/or price information and financial analysis to cross-functional teams, management, and customers
  • Participates in fact-finding and negotiations with government and customers. Supports the proposal mangers and independent cost estimates (ICE) to generate the "Price to Win" in the new business acquisition process
  • Provides situational leadership to the Pricing and Estimating and cost analysts
  • Provide a valuable in-house resource for cost / price analysis on behalf of Spriit AeroSystems Defense business
  • Conduct cost / price analysis of major supplier proposals for the procurement of missile hardware
  • Set global supply chain negotiation strategies and lead part buy negotiations with Spirit AeroSystems supplier subcontracts
  • Perform supplier fact-finding and accounting system rate & factor audits to validate supplier cost and pricing data.
  • Support negotiations representing supply chain cost elements within Spirit AeroSystems

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Associate (Level 2): 2+ years of related work experience with either a Bachelor's Degree
  • Must have or be able to obtain a secret DoD Clearance
  • Strong computer skills and a strong competency in Excel

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Mid-Level (Level 3): 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Senior (Level 4): 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related area of study
  • Experience with Department of Defense (DoD), FAR, and/or CAS
  • Experience with SAP and ProPricer

Summary Pay Range - Associate (Level 2): $59,300 - $90,900
Summary Pay Range - Mid-Level (Level 3): $76,400 - $117,150
Summary Pay Range - Senior Level (Level 4): $102,400 - $157,050

Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
