Location: 710 James Robertson Parkway, 7th Floor, Andrew Johnson Tower, Nashville, Tennessee 37243

Duration: 03+ Months

Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM CST to 4:30 PM CST, 37.5 hours per week

Job Overview:

  • The Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) is accepting applications for an Administrative Services Assistant (ASA) 4 contract position in the Department of Health,  Division of Family Health and Wellness located in Nashville, TN.
  • This position will be responsible for the processing of contracts and competitive procurements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, process, and track all assigned contracts and applicable amendments for the Division of Family Health and Wellness.
  • Preparation of the contracts will involve research and analytics as to the proper formatting to be utilized for each contract as well as amendments that occur frequently.
  • The ASA4 will also process budget, funding, and Contract Processing Worksheet (CPW) revisions for each contract as necessary.
  • Process competitive procurements for the Division of Family Health and Wellness (FHW) that include Request For Proposals (RFP), Request for Grant Proposals (RFGP), and Request For Application (RFA).
  • Track and reconcile invoices for reimbursement to Edison for assigned contracts.
  • Provide adequate administrative support services to meet the FHW Division's operational needs.
  • Provide efficient and effective administrative and program support to the Division and Department of Health staff.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is required, along with a minimum of two years of professional administrative experience.

Required Qualifications:

  • Analytical, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills
  • Organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office platforms

Work Environment:

  • This is a hybrid position with in-person attendance in Nashville central office required on first day for laptop deployment and orientation.
  • Travel to central office is non-reimbursable. In-person attendance required quarterly for division meetings in Nashville.
  • Position is renewable annually on 6/30, pending funding availability.
  • Typical working hours are Monday - Friday, 8AM to 4:30PM CST. Position is 37.5 hours per week, reflective of state work week.
This position is funded with the Rural Health Transformation grant which is renewable through Oct. 30, 2030.
