POSITION SUMMARY
Bay Property Management Group is seeking a Multifamily Portfolio Asset Manager to oversee the operational and financial performance of our multifamily portfolio, with a primary focus on properties consisting of 20 or more units.
This role serves as the bridge between day-to-day property management operations and ownership objectives. The Multifamily Portfolio Asset Manager will work closely with Property Managers, Maintenance Teams, Accounting, and Ownership Groups to monitor portfolio performance, identify opportunities for revenue growth, oversee capital projects, improve operational efficiency, and ensure owner expectations are being met.
This individual will also play a key role in the onboarding and transition of newly awarded management accounts, helping establish a successful management strategy from day one and ensuring a smooth transition for ownership groups.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
• 3+ years of multifamily property management, portfolio management, asset management, or real estate operations experience.
• Experience overseeing multifamily communities consisting of 20+ units.
• Strong understanding of multifamily financial statements, budgets, and operational reporting.
• Experience communicating directly with property owners and investors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
• Ability to travel periodically throughout the portfolio.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred:
• Experience managing portfolios across multiple markets.
• Experience with value-add projects, renovations, and capital planning.
• Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
Within the first year, the Multifamily Portfolio Asset Manager will establish standardized performance reviews across the multifamily portfolio, improve owner communication and reporting, assist with successful onboarding of new management accounts, identify opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiencies, and provide strategic oversight of BMG's largest multifamily communities across all markets.
