Position Summary:

The HOA Accounting Manager will be responsible for high volume, detailed processing of the HOA and Muni workflow process to ensure all ledgers, statements and coding are completed accurately while ensuring payment of vendors. In addition, the manager is responsible for the management of the HOA firm pages, audit responses, account disputes with the HOA and lien releases. The Manager is responsible for all accounting teams and their output. Must be organized, experienced with reconciliations and workflows, and be able to multi-task and meet daily production requirements.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement systems for collecting, analyzing, verifying and reporting financial information and manage accounting staff

  • Manage human resources by training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, communicating job expectations and enforcing policies and procedures

  • Contribute recommendations on strategic plans and reviews on productivity and quality; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements and implanting change

  • Achieve accounting objectives

  • Avoid legal challenges by enforcing accounting regulations and recommending new procedures

  • Address escalated issues around HOA and Muni invoice/statement processing.

  • Direct assigned tasks and provide assistance as needed.

  • Cross train with other team members.

  • Assist in implementing enhanced company processes.

Qualifications:

  • Yardi experience preferred.

  • Salesforce experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Organized work approach.

  • Ability to multi-task and work independently when needed.

  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Honest, ethical and handles things in confidential manner.
