Job description

Reporting to VP North American Supply NGL and Distillates, this position is responsible for all Supply activities for its regional internal and external demand. This position will ensure that customers have cost competitive, reliable supply for their demand season. In addition to supply, the Director will collaborate with the logistics group to make sure that the right storage and transportation is in place to satisfy deliveries in a safe, cost-effective and timely manner.

What you’ll do:

  • Manage supply and demand for rail, pipeline and truck deliveries in areas of focus
  • Manage supply and trading from Dixie and Teppco pipeline business.
  • Manage storage positions within focus supply region
  • Manage supply contracts through forecasts received from Superior retail and wholesale sales/customers
  • Negotiate supply arrangements for both spot and term supply needs, balancing favorable pricing with supply security
  • Direct and provide clear direction and guidance to the team to consistently improve performance
  • Work on business development (including supply, distribution and growth) and customer enhancement initiatives for Superior retail and wholesale
  • Regularly update volumetric forecasts and oversee volume incentive program and reconciliation of internal charge mechanisms

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, or Community College Diploma in Business, Finance or Energy Marketing plus Professional Certification (e. g. CA, CPA), or equivalent courses
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in supply/logistics, truck/rail/pipeline and inventory transfer
  • Extensive industry knowledge (particularly to liquid propane gases)
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to create strategies using data analysis
  • Good negotiation strategy and skills
  • Ability to fully understand contract or agreement documents
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to lead, train, mentor and motivate employees
  • Highly effective communication skills both verbal and written and ability to work collaboratively across the organization
