Job description

SUMMARY:

The District Manager has the primary overall responsibility for leading and managing their assigned district.  Manages all facets of the district with accountability for high levels of customer service, operational effectiveness, employee productivity, customer and employee retention and profitability, while maintaining a culture of safety.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leads and supervises office and operational personnel
  • Ensures daily work and reports are completed in an efficient and timely manner
  • Investigates and resolves customer service issues and complaints
  • Meets or exceeds district sales goals by partnering with the VP of Operations, the Sales Manager, and other business partners
  • Optimizes profitability of the district by actively managing controllable expenses, local inventory, and directing the development of continued improvement projects to generate hard cost savings/profit improvement
  • Coordinates product deliveries in partnership with the corporate team
  • Coordinates service and installations in partnership with the corporate team
  • Maintains the inside and outside of the properties appearance which includes the office, yard vehicle and bulk tanks
  • Takes safety measures with a goal of zero accidents and incidents
  • Shares accountability for collection of outstanding ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­receivables and reconciles cash, equipment, part and fuel inventory
  • Cultivate commercial relationships within the community (i.e. Chamber of Commerce), maintain existing customer relationships, while focusing on developing new customer opportunities
  • Plans for succession and develops employees for advancement
  • Performs other projects and duties as assigned

SKILLS & EXPEREINCE:

  • 5 Years of experience managing and leading a team-required
  • High School Diploma or GED-required
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean and clear MVR-required
    • CDL (class A/ B) preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of MS 360-required
    • Cargas and DocuSign is a plus
  • Adapt with technology- enabled system’s and implementation of process improvement
  • Ability to manage in a fluid, fast pace environment is a must along with being highly motivated and well organized. 
  • Decision making confidence is essential to the position.
  • Experience with supply chain in the propane industry is preferred.
