This role will support large-scale civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout Louisiana, including one of the company's most significant ongoing infrastructure operations in North Louisiana.

The Project Scheduler will play a critical role in planning, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure successful project delivery. This position requires strong technical scheduling expertise, collaboration with field and project management teams, and the ability to provide accurate reporting and schedule analysis using Primavera P6.

Position Summary

The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules for complex civil and infrastructure construction projects. This individual will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all project activities are accurately planned, tracked, and reported throughout the lifecycle of the project.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling, Primavera P6, earned value management principles, and civil construction operations including earthwork, utilities, grading, and site development.

Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesScheduling & Project Controls
  • Develop, maintain, and manage integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 for large-scale civil and infrastructure construction projects.
  • Build and maintain baseline schedules reflecting all phases of construction operations.
  • Analyze and monitor project schedules utilizing Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling techniques.
  • Perform schedule updates and maintain accurate progress tracking against project milestones and contractual deliverables.
  • Develop look-ahead schedules, resource-loaded schedules, manpower forecasts, and productivity reports.
  • Identify schedule variances, delays, and potential impacts while providing mitigation and recovery recommendations.
  • Assist with forecasting project completion dates and performing time impact analyses as required.
  • Support the preparation and analysis of change orders, delay claims, and progress payment applications.
  • Assist Project Management with Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and cost/schedule integration.
Collaboration & Reporting
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, Engineers, subcontractors, and field personnel to gather schedule updates and progress information.
  • Participate in weekly and monthly project coordination meetings, providing schedule status updates and insights.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly schedule reports, dashboards, progress reports, and executive-level presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with owner specifications, contractual scheduling requirements, and reporting obligations.
  • Review contract documents, project scopes, drawings, specifications, and execution plans to develop accurate project schedules.
  • Provide ongoing schedule analysis and recommendations to improve efficiency, productivity, and project execution.
Project Controls & Process Improvement
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project controls processes related to scheduling, forecasting, progress tracking, cost control, and document management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to project controls and reporting standards.
  • Maintain accurate schedule documentation and records throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Promote and support LEMOINE's commitment to safety, quality, and environmental excellence.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of scheduling experience supporting civil construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Advanced proficiency with Primavera P6 (Enterprise Project Portfolio Management).
  • Strong understanding of civil construction operations including:
    • Earthwork
    • Site grading
    • Wet utilities
    • Underground utilities
    • Concrete operations
    • Laydown yards
    • General civil infrastructure
  • Experience with Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling and schedule analysis.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and civil construction plans.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), resource loading, and cost/schedule integration.
  • Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or industrial construction projects.
  • NCCER certification or prior craft field experience in civil/infrastructure construction.
  • Previous experience as a civil foreman, superintendent, or craft professional is a plus.
