Job description

Birdi Systems, Inc. is seeking a reliable, organized, and detail-oriented Procurement Coordinator to support daily purchasing, inventory, and logistics operations. This role is essential to maintaining efficient project execution by coordinating material procurement, tracking deliveries, managing inventory, and supporting field operations.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and capable of balancing administrative procurement tasks with material handling and delivery responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement & Purchasing Support

  • Assist with sourcing materials, obtaining vendor quotes, and preparing purchase orders.
  • Track purchase orders and delivery schedules to ensure timely receipt of materials.
  • Resolve invoice discrepancies, shipment issues, and vendor-related concerns.
  • Expedite deliveries and communicate order status updates to internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company purchasing procedures.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

  • Organize, track, and maintain inventory levels for tools, equipment, and project materials.
  • Conduct routine inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
  • Process returns, exchanges, and replacement requests for defective or surplus materials.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse and storage areas.

Material Handling & Logistics

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver materials, tools, and equipment to job sites within approximately a 60-mile radius.
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly and maintain delivery schedules.
  • Verify shipment contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
  • Assist with unloading, staging, and securing materials at project locations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1+ years of experience in procurement coordination, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory management, or delivery support preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to safely lift and move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including inventory tracking and order management systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Work Environment:

  • Combination of warehouse, office, and field environments.
  • Regular lifting, bending, standing, and material handling required.
  • Local travel to project sites and vendor locations as needed; company vehicle or car allowance provided.
