Job Description
This is an advanced professional and administrative position responsible for leading the Seminole Tribe of Florida's space utilization strategy and planning within the Building & Grounds Department. The Space Planning Manager oversees long-term space needs forecasting, headcount growth planning, and space planning projects for both owned and leased facilities. The incumbent is responsible for maintaining accurate occupancy records and space standards, managing workplace moves, additions, changes (MAC), and reconfigurations, and leading the Space Planning Division within the Department. This position also manages furniture programming and layouts, coordinates installation logistics, and supervises warehouse and furniture installation staff. The individual leads the staff responsible for space planning functions, including assigning work, completing performance evaluations, and supporting training and development. The work involves assignments that require independence in making decisions and obtaining solutions while adhering to established policies, procedures, and standards. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field required. A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in space planning is required. Prior experience in public-sector or Tribal government project delivery preferred. Professional certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or LEED Accredited Professional are preferred. An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Demonstrate excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to travel to all STOF reservations and facilities. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
