Job description

Project Manager โ€” Technology Planning

Gravity is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support long-term planning for large-scale technology modernization initiatives.

This role is more upstream, strategic, financial, and programmatic than execution-heavy deployment. The Planning Project Manager will support planning across multiple projects and locations, helping build structure around budgets, materials, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and long-term program strategy before work moves into execution.

The ideal candidate has strong executive presence, budget planning experience, IT procurement exposure, and the ability to take early-stage work from concept into a structured project/program plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Support planning across a broader technology modernization program
  • Help build project plans, budget plans, financial documentation, materials planning, and scheduling structures
  • Support IT procurement, project financials, budget reporting, and long-range planning
  • Coordinate with deployment teams, vendors, logistics teams, technical teams, and leadership
  • Help organize upstream requirements, scope definition, project documentation, timelines, and dependencies
  • Track budget health, financial risks, procurement needs, and project readiness
  • Support planning efforts for technology projects involving network upgrades, infrastructure modernization, data center refreshes, CCTV/security systems, application deployments, hardware rollouts, and related initiatives
  • Provide clear updates to leadership and help create structure around work before it moves into execution

Required Experience:

  • 7โ€“10+ years of project/program management experience
  • Strong budget planning, budget reporting, financial tracking, or project financial ownership experience
  • Experience building project/program plans from early-stage or ambiguous requirements
  • Experience managing multiple projects, locations, scopes, workstreams, or long-term programs
  • Exposure to IT procurement, vendor management, materials planning, scheduling, or project financial documentation
  • Strong executive communication and ability to work directly with program leadership
  • Background in infrastructure, technology deployment, hardware, data center, logistics, construction, or other operational technology environments preferred
  • Must be able to work onsite in Miramar, FL Mondayโ€“Thursday
  • Must be open to occasional travel, though travel is expected to be less extensive than the Deployment PM role

Preferred Tools:

  • Excel, Smartsheet, MS Project, Jira, SAP, financial tracking tools, or project reporting tools

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate is a strategic, highly organized PM who can look across a broader program, build structure from ambiguity, manage budgets and documentation, and communicate effectively with leadership. This person should be comfortable working upstream and helping translate early-stage planning into executable project structure.

This is a long-term contract opportunity supporting high-visibility technology modernization work.
