Summary

We are working with a commercial general contractor focused on technically demanding projects across healthcare, data center, and complex commercial environments. They are looking to add a Project Manager to support a growing pipeline of work in the Greater Rochester area.

This role offers the opportunity to take true ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout, working closely with clients, field teams, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality work in active and detail-sensitive environments. It’s a strong fit for someone who enjoys being hands-on with both the financial and operational sides of a project, while staying closely connected to the client.

Key Responsibilities

Lead project execution from preconstruction through closeout across healthcare and commercial projects

Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring milestones and deliverables stay on track

Manage project financials including budgets, forecasts, and cost control

Oversee subcontractor buyout, scope development, and contract execution

Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive project progress

Serve as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates on schedule, budget, and project status

Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, and change orders

Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and compliance standards throughout the project lifecycle

Qualifications

3–10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management

Experience supporting projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor coordination

Healthcare or mission-critical project experience is a strong plus

Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced project environments

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface directly with clients and stakeholders

Familiarity with construction management software and Microsoft Office tools

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
