Job description

We are looking for a Project Manager to support a Contract assignment in St Paul, Minnesota within a manufacturing environment. This role will guide a costing transformation program by coordinating cross-functional efforts, clarifying operational workflows, and helping teams stay aligned on project goals and delivery timelines. The position requires a strong communicator who can organize complex initiatives, maintain visibility into progress and risks, and partner effectively with business and technical stakeholders.


Responsibilities:

• Direct project execution for an operational costing transformation initiative, keeping scope, timing, and priorities on track.

• Lead workshops to capture existing processes, define improved future workflows, and produce clear supporting documentation.

• Partner with teams across Finance, Manufacturing, Operations, IT, and outside vendors to drive collaboration and timely decision-making.

• Monitor milestones, dependencies, open issues, risks, and deliverables, and follow through on action plans to support project success.

• Translate business process needs into clear inputs that support ERP solution design and implementation planning.

• Prepare and deliver concise status updates, key decisions, and risk summaries for executive leadership.

• Maintain project documentation and reporting tools to improve visibility across workstreams and stakeholder groups.

• Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects involving business transformation, operational improvement, or enterprise system initiatives.
• Strong ability to document workflows and facilitate process mapping using tools such as Visio, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or comparable platforms.
• Background supporting ERP or related implementation efforts, ideally within manufacturing or operations-focused environments.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across technical and business teams.
• Experience tracking schedules, risks, action items, and deliverables in a structured project environment.
• Knowledge of costing, job cost processes, or operational finance concepts is preferred.
