Job description

Assistant Operations Manager

In this role, you will:

- Perform client contact as requested by the General Manager and complete associated reports promptly.

- Effectively handle client issues and concerns.

- Handle employee issues and concerns effectively.

- Assist with processing payroll, and assist with the scheduling of Security Officers, when needed.

- Assist with screening, interviewing, and hiring guards as needed.

- Support all other division sales through leads and/or community contacts.

- On-call/available 24 hours per day for contact in case of emergency.

- Develop assigned personnel to assure the highest levels of performance and standards.

- Conduct performance appraisals of assigned personnel.

- Supervise assigned personnel to provide direction.

- Attend regularly scheduled meetings.

- Oversee the distribution and maintenance of company-issued phones and/or other electronic devices.

- Responsible for overseeing the training program for Security Officers and supervisory personnel, including safety training.

- Oversee the creation, publication, distribution, and revision of post-order manuals for all job sites.

- Oversee the management of company vehicles.

- Perform post-inspections and ride along with supervisory personnel periodically to ensure the quality of service.

- Ensure employees adhere to all company policies and procedures.

- Travel, as required. Some overnight travel is expected.

- Maintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with Per Mar Security Services' internal/external customers.

- Adhere to the highest standards of ethical business conduct and compliance.

- Adhere to, be aware of, and follow all safety procedures and proper use of all PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).

- All other reasonable duties as assigned by the Physical Security General Manager, specific to the operation of daily business functions.

- Willingness to become involved with professional and civic organizations that will enhance Per Mar’s image and profitability.

- Hire, train, and mentor direct reports

- Address performance and behavior issues promptly.

What you’ll need:

- High School Diploma or GED

- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university preferred;

- Two to four years of related supervisory and management and/or security industry experience preferred.

- Must have a valid driver’s license

- Must be able to obtain a State of Minnesota and Wisconsin security license per company policy.
