Job Description
Hill International is seeking a Sr Specialist, Project Management Support in Santa Ana, California
Responsibilities
  • Supports construction projects by aiding the processes of initiation, planning, budgeting, scheduling, change management, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Crafts and manages action items and team member adherence.
  • Recognizes verbal cues in meetings (action items, requests, additional meetings to be setup, etc.)
  • Becomes subject matter expert for tools/system to maintain integrity of stored data/documents of record, assists with access, training, and support as needed.
  • Ensures adherence to standards and procedures.
  • Identifies problems / risks and solutions.
  • Exercises independent judgment and discretion to advise and recommend courses of action for successful project outcomes.
  • Proactively assists project manager with all support tasks, progress reports, tracking project achievements, metrics, schedules, and budgets.
  • Provides status to PM leadership and stakeholders.
  • Crafts and maintains project documentation, including version control, distribution, and document storage/retention.
  • Understands the data to help identify patterns, trends, and opportunities to drive continuous improvement through process, upgrades, reporting features, and/or formats.
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of project data.
  • Develops presentations and documentation for review by management and executive committees for approval of project to proceed through gates and stages.
  • Leads change management processes; stores and distributes construction drawings, submittals, safety plans and ensures version control.
  • Communicates and supports site procedures, safety protocols, and construction codes.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts among team members and, if needed, escalates to Project Manager
  • Establishes, presents, and applies project procedures, directives, and bulletins to ensure compliance with organization's policies.
  • Removes project obstacles, resolves design, permitting, easement, and construction issues by communicating with the team, and provides support to review.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in applicable profession, business, or technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 5+ years' of project support experience.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive) required.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Project and Excel; knowledgeable with Pivot Tables preferred.
  • Electric utility experience preferred.
  • Must be local to Southern California.
  • Hybrid work schedule. Able to work from assigned Santa Ana, Redlands, Wildomar, or Pomona office.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. The offered salary will be based on the applicants qualifications, education, experience and work location.
