Job Description:
The Digital Technology Program Management Team is currently searching for seasoned Project Management / Agile professionals who can work independently supporting the Agile leadership of teams and Agile tooling (JIRA, Structure Board, Advance Roadmapping, and Big Picture), and support the
development of project plans, schedules, and budgets for digital technology projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring team alignment and continuous improvement in delivering high-quality products.
* Manage and optimize the team's use of JIRA, including advanced functionalities such as Structure Board, Advanced Roadmapping, and Big Picture, to track progress, enhance visibility, and ensure effective project planning and execution.
* Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company"s commitments and customer expectations.
* Define deliverables, scope of work, and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met.
* Build highly effective project teams and establish effective relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.
* Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.
* Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals.
* Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements.
* Escalation of issues, along with proposed plan, to leadership
* Make timely and sound business decisions that support the business objectives of Clients Aerospace.
* Summarize and present key information to senior leadership enabling them to make decisions.
* Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.
* Participate in continuous process improvement and lean initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
* These positions require a Bachelor"s degree in an appropriate discipline and at least 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, at least 10 years of relevant experience would be required.
* Must be willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time
* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident 'Green Card' holder
* Experience with Agile methodologies and workflows, including hands-on experience using Agile project management tools such as JIRA or similar platforms.
* Experience with project management oversight of infrastructure, security and software development initiatives.
* Experience building and managing schedules in MS Project.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Proficiency in JIRA, including advanced plug-ins such as Structure Board, Advanced Roadmapping, and Big Picture, with demonstrated ability to configure and leverage these tools for enhanced project planning and team collaboration.
* Experience working in a government and/or manufacturing environment
* SAP / ERP
* Business Warehouse, Application Development, Infrastructure, Cyber Security project experience
* Experience with multiple project methodologies including waterfall and agile Scrum methodology
* Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
