ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

JOB SUMMARY

As a Engineering Project Manager in Burnsville, MN, you will:

  • Lead complex, multi‑disciplinary engineering projects within a Research, Development & Engineering (RDE) environment
  • Own full project lifecycles, including planning, scheduling, execution, risk management, and launch readiness
  • Build and manage detailed project schedules using structured project management tools
  • Drive consistent project governance, reporting, and execution standards across RDE
  • Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and cross‑functional engineering workstreams to ensure alignment and timely delivery
  • Lead design reviews, verification/validation activities, and engineering change control
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, escalating when needed
  • Report project status, risks, and performance to leadership on established cadences
  • Mentor and onboard project team members in areas such as scope control, stakeholder communication, and risk management
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, supply chain, and external vendors to remove barriers and improve execution
  • Support portfolio reviews, resource balancing, and scenario analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project governance tools, templates, and processes
  • Ensure projects meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations while supporting commercialization efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a business-related field and/or in an engineering discipline
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification
  • 7+ years leading projects in mechanical/electrical engineering, R&D, technology, or product development environments
  • Proven experience owning full project lifecycles (scope, schedule, budget, risk, launch readiness)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing) without direct authority
  • Strong business acumen with experience working across engineering, operations, and leadership teams
  • Proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools (Microsoft Project, Planner, or equivalent)
  • Track record of process improvement and driving structured project governance
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 tools; familiarity with AI tools (Copilot/ChatGPT) and mind‑mapping software preferred
  • Experience driving technology or products to commercialization (preferred)
  • Experience managing external vendors, suppliers, or development partners (preferred)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically/internationally
