JOB SUMMARY
Include leading the construction process efforts for assigned project(s) to ensure the success is aligned with the budget, schedule, and is constructible.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requires the knowledge of electrical construction and theory at a level normally acquired through the completion of a five -year electrical apprentice program or a combination of education and experience within the electrical construction industry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Five years' experience in a project management position in industry
  • Electrical apprenticeship, journeyman, wireman, project foremen/ general foreman, mentorship
  • Estimator/Project supervisor or other electrical trade experience
  • Leadership experience in a field environment
  • Experience in the construction industry

KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Strong management skills
  • Excellent human relations skills and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Demonstrated financial analytical skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
  • Good interpersonal skills are essential
  • Required strong project management skills, analytical and negotiation skills

  • Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage and oversee assigned electrical construction projects from bid phase through final closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Maintain overall accountability for project execution, including work delegated to others, while ensuring adherence to company standards, safety policies, and customer expectations.
  • Secure, develop, and maintain customer relationships to support new and ongoing business, including participating in job walks, meeting with customers to define project scope, and preparing accurate cost estimates and proposals.
  • Administer construction contracts throughout the project lifecycle, including reviewing contract terms, defining scope of work, pricing jobs, and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate manpower resources using appropriate tools and reports to meet project schedules and budget requirements.
  • Monitor and control project financial performance by preparing and reviewing job cost reports, cost-to-complete forecasts, and Work-in-Progress (WIP) reports; update projected labor hours and costs on a regular basis.
  • Coordinate and manage project billing activities to ensure timely, accurate invoicing consistent with customer requirements and to support positive cash flow, including follow-up on payments as necessary.
  • Oversee timekeeping and payroll processes by reviewing timecards and ensuring required approvals are completed in accordance with established procedures.
  • Manage and administer change orders, including coordinating scope definition, reviewing pricing and proposals, submitting changes within contractual timeframes, tracking change activity, and assisting with billing and accounting documentation.
  • Participate in required project meetings with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support project planning, coordination, and progress tracking.
  • Complete project closeout requirements, including review and submission of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) manuals and ensuring record drawings are accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to exercise judgment, analyze financial and operational data, communicate effectively, and multiple priorities.
