JOB DESCRIPTION
POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Executive (PX) can report into either a Division Manager or Operations Manager (DM/OM) depending upon the organization structure of the Division.  The primary role of the PX is to assist the DM/OM in managing large projects or multiple projects within the Division. The PX ensures project success through monitoring the processes, progress, and results of the following: Client satisfaction, team effectiveness, employee development, financial goals, quality, and schedule.  Serving as the liaison between the jobsite and the DM/OM, the PX provides the support and resources that are needed by the Project Team to perform their duties.

Organizational Relationship

The PX is a Leadership role within a division.

Accountability

The PX is accountable to the DM/OM for successful operation of the projects they are assigned.  The PX is also accountable for accomplishing quantitative and qualitative goals and objectives set forth in the individual project and division. 

Authority

In accordance with our company’s guidelines and DM/OM concurrence, the PX has the authority recruit, hire, recommend promotion, terminate, and transfer operations personnel.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Participate in Business Development

  • Participate in development, execution and presentations of proposals.
  • Ensure that all clients are satisfied and become raging fans.
  • Secure positive referrals.
Lead the Preconstruction Process
  • Along with the DM/OM, coordinate with Preconstruction to ensure all preconstruction meetings, plan flips, GC’s and schedules are developed to support budgeting, bidding or GMP deliverables.
  • Along with DM/OM, ensure there is sufficient subcontractor coverage.
  • Along with DM/OM, make sure subcontractors are pre-qualified under our SDI program.
  • Perform Scope meetings with APM’s and PM’s
  • Oversee the buy-out of the project.
Oversee Project Operations
  • Supervise the process of project start-up.
  • Oversee the confirmation of the initial project schedule as well as the full development project schedule.
  • Evaluate monthly project financial performance through CMIC.
  • Work with DM/OM to ensure financials are accurately representing project performance.
  • Manage risk in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Work closely with APM’s and PM’s to review deliverables to clients
  • Monitor schedule, and quality.
  • Lead with ensuring Safety is a top priority on every project

Manage Human Resources

  • Proactively helps with the recruitment of new employees.
  • Engages in training, development and mentoring of employees.
  • Encourage employee growth by mentoring and managing development plans.
  • Inform DM/OM and help resolve team issues on projects.

Manage Policy and Procedure Implementation

  • Assure that Company policies and procedures are implemented.

Promote Relations

  • Builds effective relationships with customers, design team, subcontractors, suppliers, and user groups that reflect and support company core values and meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.
  • Oversee the completion of any outstanding issues with Owner, Subcontractors and Vendors.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • In general, performance of the job has the PX operating from an office location vs a project location so to oversee one or more projects at one time. The PX will be subject to jobsite conditions, and therefore should be able to cope with and withstand these conditions.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position.
  • Minimum 6-8 years of progressive construction related trade experience.
  • Demonstrates experience with project management systems and software as well as supervisory experience of projects with multiple Subcontractors, trades and equipment provisions is required.
  • Exhibits commitment to quality by evaluating project-related processes and make necessary changes, using customer input to make improvements, and meeting/exceeding internal and external customer expectations. 
  • Acts in a manner of integrity that demonstrates support for the company values and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations.
  • Demonstrates proficiency using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, CMIC, Egnyte, Excel, Office, Outlook).
