Job Overview:
L7 Construction, Inc. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will support the Project Manager in coordinating and managing water and wastewater construction projects. You will work alongside the field team, Superintendents, and clients to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the water and wastewater industry and develop your career in construction management.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of water and wastewater construction projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, and system upgrades.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, superintendents, and field teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and material procurement activities.
  • Support the preparation and submission of project reports and documentation.
  • Review and assist with managing project specifications, drawings, and contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards, regulations, and quality control procedures.
  • Assist with the management of subcontractors and vendors, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Participate in regular project meetings and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
  • Provide technical support to the field teams and troubleshoot construction-related issues.
  • Assist with maintaining project records, including submittals, change orders, and RFIs.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, collaborative, and efficient work environment.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field Equivalent work experience accepted.
  • 1-3 years of experience in construction or project engineering, ideally within the water and wastewater industry.
  • Basic knowledge of water/wastewater systems and construction processes.
  • Familiarity with construction plans, specifications, and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Procore is a plus.
