Job description

Senior Project Engineer/Manager


As a Senior Project Engineer/Manager your role will cover all aspects of the production process, from project planning and documentation, to managing relationships with subcontractors and facilitating communication among all stakeholders, both internal and external. This is a senior role and requires a mature engineer to set goals and accomplish objectives on schedule and within budget.




Responsibilities:




  • Managing Project Engineering Organization




  • Coordinating the client’s project specifications/requirements, managing schedule, projected expenses, and quality with the engineering team in adherence to all our contractual obligations




  • Reporting program status to Senior Management and Customers




  • Ensuring the proper resources are allocated from each organization to perform and verify the contract




  • Managing personnel within project organization by assigning work accordance with staff skills, while assisting the quality department in drafting quality, material, and process specifications




  • Building relationships with subcontractors to meet objectives of cost, quality, and schedule needs




  • Preparing quotes accurately for product plans, schedules, and projected spending to define the product to all engineering specifications and quality requirements




  • Communicating with management and clients to update them on the project's schedule and ensure all/any significant issues are resolved




  • Traveling in the US and International as required, sometimes for extended periods




  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as an U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. ‘Green Card Holder’) Political Asylee, or Refugee.








Requirements:







  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering




  • Strong background in design and/or manufacturing engineering, problem-solving, and coordination




  • A strong emphasis on setting and manufacturing to aggressive cost requirements




  • 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on manufacturing technologies and materials related to manufacturing of IGT hardware




  • Working knowledge of Quality Inspection system from engineering specifications in accordance with established ISO9001 & ISO17025 procedures




  • Excellent skill level in project planning software for project reporting and managing projects through Gantt charts




  • Must have IGT Experience
