Job description

Overview
NV5 is a provider of professional and technical engineering and consulting solutions to public and private sector clients in the infrastructure, energy, construction, program management and environmental markets. NV5 is an ENR Top 500 firm; we offer a full range of professional services in offices throughout the U.S.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a Project Engineer to support the Land Development group through the preparation of design aspects of a total work product. This role is not construction management-focused.
Main Responsibilities:
Engineering focus will be transportation design. Duties and responsibilities for the Project Engineer include, but are not limited to:
  • Preparation of designs and reports
  • Performing calculations
  • CADD/Civil 3D
  • Maintain familiarity with applicable WMD, FDEP, local codes, and requirements and ensure compliance
  • Communicating with project team(s), clients, and agencies
  • Perform site visits as needed
  • Attend external meetings

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or agricultural engineering
  • Up to three years of experience with transportation design
  • Must have the ability to use AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred) for design activities
  • Must have the ability to obtain PE Registration within five years of graduation
  • Must pass mandatory DMV check
