Project Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI
Pay Rate: $79.85/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid
Contract Duration: Through December 2026

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer to support capital and infrastructure-related projects within a large industrial environment. This role will be responsible for supporting project initiation, planning, procurement coordination, engineering evaluations, and project execution activities while ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within engineering, construction, or industrial project environments and possess strong coordination, technical, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities
  • Support project initiation, planning, and execution activities for engineering and capital projects
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to identify project needs, define scope, evaluate solutions, and develop cost estimates
  • Assist with engineering design reviews and material specification development
  • Support procurement and bid processes for equipment, materials, and construction services
  • Monitor project schedules, budgets, and deliverables throughout the project lifecycle
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and management presentations
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support and coordination throughout all project phases
  • Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and operations teams to ensure successful project completion
